Class Description

In this class, guest instructor Lu-Ann Meier is going to walk you through the various steps involved in making a simple mosaic project, including how to cut the glass in various shapes, using various tools, a discussion on substrates and adhesives, and a lesson on grouting! You will practice these skills as you create one of these beautifully detailed little  flower panels.

Each student will create one floral panel, measuring approximately 5" x  6". The best thing about this project is that you can use some of those small scraps that you have been wondering what to do with. No scraps?! That's okay, you can use ours.  ALL other materials, supplies, tools, and equipment will be provided for you. Lu-Ann is bringing examples for you to follow and will walk you through the process step-by-step over four hours.

**A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF HAND STRENGTH IS REQUIRED WHEN CUTTING GLASS. IF YOU FEEL THIS COULD BE A CONCERN FOR YOU (ie. hand tremor or arthritis) PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THE CLASS.

Each student must enroll separately for each class.  Please review our enrollment and cancellation policy, dress code and other class-related details HERE prior to attending your class. If you have any questions regarding these policies or other class-related topics, please feel free to contact us at (360) 771-5617.

We also have a handout regarding Safety in the Studio that we would like you to review prior to your class. These documents can all be accessed by clicking on the "Contact & Policies" tab at the top of this page, if you are unable to download them.

**Photos are examples of items that can be made in this class. The variety and colors of glass available may vary depending on what you choose for your class.
