Class Description
You asked and we listened! These 3-D projects make great gifts and add another dimension to what your artwork. This is a great chance to practice those skills you learned! Once again, everything will be provided for you WITH THE EXCEPTION OF YOUR GLASS. This is for one propagation station.
This course consists of one session of 2.5 hours.
You will need to bring approximately ONE Square Foot of glass to class with you. We will provide all other materials/tools. We will have patterns available, but if you'd like to bring your own, please make sure they are approx. the size listed below AND only 10 pieces or less.
Your finished propagation station will be approx 5"x 10".
In this workshop, we will focus on creating a small panel, wrapped with lead or zinc, decorating them with fun wire work and decorative soldering techniques, and attaching a small tube to the front with heavy-gauge wire. The tube can then be filled with water and used to propagate your plants at home! Make a really cute vase, as well. Instructions will be provided for the students to take home.
**A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF HAND STRENGTH IS REQUIRED WHEN CUTTING GLASS. IF YOU FEEL THIS COULD BE A CONCERN FOR YOU (ie. hand tremor or arthritis) PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THE CLASS.
