Introduction to Stained Glass

$150.00

Learn how to make a stained glass panel! No experience required!  Everything will be provided for you, with the EXCEPTION of your glass.

This course consists of FOUR sessions of 2 hours each. In addition, beginning the day of your first class through the day of your final class, you will have use of the classroom and any tools needed to work on your project(s). Class use MUST be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance via phone or email.

Two weeks prior to class, you will receive an email from christine@meltglass.com that contains the basic classroom guidelines and some beautiful patterns for you to choose from! Bring that pattern into the shop BEFORE your first class session and we will help you select just the right glass for both your pattern and your budget (typical glass cost is approx. $15 – $25, but can vary depending on your choices).

This workshop is designed to offer an introduction to making stained glass panels using the copper foil method. You will learn to cut and shape the glass to fit your pattern, apply copper foil to your pieces, solder them together and add the finishing touches.

This class is open to ages 18+. All attendees must be registered, as we have limited classroom space. Any questions or concerns, please contact us.

Each student must enroll separately for each class.  Please review our enrollment and cancellation policy, dress code and other class-related details HERE prior to attending your class. If you have any questions regarding these policies or other class-related topics, please feel free to contact us at (360) 771-5617.

While your safety is our top concern, each student will be required to sign a standard liability waiver prior to the beginning of each class. These will be available at Melt or you can print one HERE and bring it with you to class. We also have a handout regarding Safety in the Studio that we would like you to review prior to your class. These documents can all be accessed by clicking on the "Contact & Policies" tab at the top of this page, if you are unable to download them.
