Design your own stepping stone! No experience required! Everything will be provided for you. We have allotted 2 hours for this project, but everyone works differently, so you may be done sooner
Your instructor, Carla Stevens, is locally known for her outstanding concrete, mosaic, fused and stained glass artwork and has extensive experience in all of these mediums. I encourage you to visit her Facebook page, Carla Stevens Glass Art and her website, www.carlastevensglassart.com to see examples of her amazing artwork. She is really fun to work with and will bring a lot of energy to this class!
In this project class you will be provided with pre-cut glass shapes and materials to design a one-of-a-kind stepping stone. You may also cut your own shapes from the glass provided.
**A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF HAND STRENGTH IS REQUIRED WHEN CUTTING GLASS. IF YOU FEEL THIS COULD BE A CONCERN FOR YOU (ie. hand tremor or arthritis) PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THE CLASS.
You will be dealing mainly with the glass, not with the concrete, so no chance of making a big mess. LOL! Carla will then fill in your forms with concrete, allow them to cure and then seal them for a long-lasting and beautiful addition to your garden, yard or front porch!
This class is open to adults and children ages 10 and up (a registered adult MUST accompany any children under 16). All attendees must be registered, as we have limited classroom space. Any questions or concerns, please contact us.

While your safety is our top concern, each student will be required to sign a standard liability waiver prior to the beginning of each class. These will be available at Melt or you can print one HERE and bring it with you to class. We also have a handout regarding Safety in the Studio that we would like you to review prior to your class. These documents can all be accessed by clicking on the "Contact & Policies" tab at the top of this page, if you are unable to download them.
