June 28th 1-3pm
This is NOT your Mama's jewelry class! Come join me on a journey to create unique, one of a kind jewelry. You will learn how to set up and safely comb a piece of glass that will be cold worked and cut up to unique jewelry. This is a multiple day class that will cover combing, glass reactions, cold working, and how to safely drill holes in glass. You will go home with multiple pieces of your own personally designed jewelry and the knowledge of how to continue to make your own unique creations.
**A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF HAND STRENGTH IS REQUIRED WHEN CUTTING/NIPPING GLASS. IF YOU FEEL THIS COULD BE A CONCERN FOR YOU (ie. hand tremor or arthritis) PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THE CLASS.
Local artist, Kevin Kanyo, is coming to Melt specifically to teach this special technique. Kevin is known for his brightly colored fused glass, full of movement and energy. He currently teaches classes in Las Vegas, Nevada and Chinook, Washington. You can see examples of his amazing artwork on his Facebook page, Kan Yo Fuse - Fused Glass Jewelry and Art.
