Beth Anderson: Stained Glass Springtime Boxes

Three dimensional stained glass! Do you have some stained glass experience already, but are looking to branch out into new fun projects?
Come learn some tips and tricks while making your very own stained glass box. There are three Spring themed patterns to choose from: a bee, butterfly or lady bug, each varying in their challenge level.
The patterns, hinges, wire, and flux will be provided, but bring your own glass to give these pretty boxes your personal touch!
Local artist, Beth Anderson, is coming to Melt specifically to teach this class. She is locally known for her unique stained glass artwork. I encourage you to visit her Instagram page, Aspiration Glass to see examples of her amazing artwork. She is really fun to work with and will bring a lot of creativity to this class!
**A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF HAND STRENGTH IS REQUIRED WHEN CUTTING/NIPPING GLASS. IF YOU FEEL THIS COULD BE A CONCERN FOR YOU (ie. hand tremor or arthritis) PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THE CLASS.
This course consists of TWO sessions of 3 hours each. In addition, beginning the day of your first class through the day of your final class, you will have use of the work shop (*subject to availability) and any tools needed to work on your project(s). Class use MUST be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance via phone.
Students will need to provide all project materials (including glass, solder, work boards, and foil) and a way to transport your project to and from class. Due to space limitations we can not store materials or projects at the studio. The class will be fully equipped with tools and soldering irons. .
This class is open to adults only. All attendees must be registered, as we have limited classroom space. Any questions or concerns, please contact us.

While your safety is our top concern, each student will be required to sign a standard liability waiver prior to the beginning of each class. These will be available at Melt or you can print one HERE and bring it with you to class. We also have a handout regarding Safety in the Studio that we would like you to review prior to your class.
